Dear Friend,

Luke 24: 1-7 says,

1. But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. 2. And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3. but when they went in they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4. While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel. 5. And as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? 6. He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, 7. that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third day rise.”

Happy Easter!  He is Risen, He is Risen Indeed!  Praise God for all the blessings currently at StoneBridge. This past Easter Sunday, we celebrated the fact that we have been rescued! We were saved in the greatest rescue mission by the Unlikeliest of Heroes.  Jesus came from the glories of Heaven to be crucified on Mount Calvary to be the ultimate sacrifice for you and me.  Why?  Because he loves us and sin separated us from the Father. There is no more separation through Salvation!  Let us not just remember what Jesus did on Easter, but every day.

It is easy to get into the day to day habits of life and forget what you have in the Holy Spirit, living within you!  This week, dwell on the fact that IT IS FINISHED.  Period.  Role Credits.  Jesus IS the end all.  Our sins held him to that cross until death overcame him.  BUT,  just like it says in Luke 24,  the stone has been rolled away and Jesus conquered the grave!  Y'all have a great week!
